TBF Racing is excited to announce 15 New Multisport races for our 2012 season. At Total Body Fitness we try to listen to our athletes and when we heard more people asking for Saturday Olympic distance triathlons, and more people liking Duathlons, and an increase in Trail Runners – we added more events of each.

For the spring we have three new Trail Runs: the Gumby 10K and 5K on February 4th, the Escape from Folsom 10 Miler on February 18th, and the Lost Trail Half Marathon on March 3rd. We have also added a Trail Half Marathon to go with our China Peak Triathlon on August 11th, held at China Peak Ski Resort outside of Fresno, a beautiful mountain playground.

New in the Spring also is our Dash 4 Cash Duathlon Series, with seven Duathlons, each one providing finisher points and podium points for Individual athletes and TRI Clubs or Teams enrolled in our Spring Dash for Cash. Double points are provided for finishers at the Dirtiest Duathlon on April 28, where the winners will be announced. The winning team will receive $1,000 in cash – and the tope Male and Female individual athlete will win $250 each.

TBF Racing has added six new Triathlons in 2012: three new Saturday Olympic distance USAT Sanctioned races and three new shorter-distance events perfect for first-timers or families. In May we have added the Folsom Lake International Triathlon on May 12th and the Mother’s Day Triathlon/Duathlon the following day on Sunday May 13th. In June we have added the Rancho Seco International Triathlon on June 16th with the Father’s Day Triathlon/Duathlon on Sunday June 17th. Both the Mother’s Day and Father’s Day races will feature a course with a swim of 400 yards (or a 2 mile run for the Duathlon), a bike of 8 miles, and a run of 2 miles.

We have also added on July 21st and 22nd the Sacramento International Triathlon and the Old Sac Team Triathlon. The Sac Int’l Triathlon will feature a USAT sanctioned Olympic distance course with a swim in the American River and a bike course closed to traffic. On Sunday we will be introducing the New Old Sac Team Triathlon where teams of 4 Triathletes will compete for their division title with each athlete completing a mini-triathlon of 500 yards swim-5 miles bike-1.5 miles run. After the first Triathlete completes all three events, he or she will tag the next team member who will then swim-bike-run. The fourth Triathlete in each team will cross the finish line and receive the Team Time. There will be four divisions: Men, Women, Coed Men (two men and a woman) and Coed Women (two women and a man) – all without age groups. Winning teams in each Division will receive Team Prizes.
