Race Information:

The MTB Kickstart is at beautiful Granite Beach, Folsom Lake SRA featuring a course with scenic single track and double track trails to ride on. Included for each athlete is a Kickstart custom race shirt, athlete goody bag, hot post race meal and free athlete massage.

Junior (14-under): 1 lap 6 miles | Novice/Novice HS (High School Riders): 1 lap 6 miles | Sport/Sport HS/Sport Single-Speed: 2 laps 12 miles | Expert/SS Expert/Pro: 3 laps 18 miles

Fees:

You can save $$$ with our four race TBF MTB Special on the January 19 MTB Kickstart, the February 2 MTB Classic, the February 16 MTB Challenge, and the March 2 MTB Madness by signing up for all four before December 2013. Enter all four races for only $100 until December 1st.

$35 until 11/31/13, $40 until 12/31/13, $45 until race day, $50 race day

Junior/H.School (under 18): $30 until 11/31/13, $35 until 12/31/13, $40 until race day, $45 race day

4-Race Series: $110 until 11/31/13, $120 until 12/31/13, $140 after 1/1/14

JR/HS 4-Race Series: $100 until 11/31/13, $1120 until 12/31/13, $130 after 1/1/14

Packet Pickup:

Packet pick-up will be available at the race site on race morning from 7 am to 9 am. Registration prices increase on Race Day.

Course Description:

The MTB Kickstart race course is on multi-use trails within the Granite Bay State Park on Folsom Lake. The course features a fun, challenging combination of twisting single-track, wide double track, rolling cross-country with some sand and a bit of pavement. The course is perfect for first-timers and exciting fun for all levels. Please be respectful of other trail users including hikers and equestrian riders in this state park. All events are rain or shine, the course is great to ride in all weather.

Feed zones will be located on the course serving bottles of cold water, and Electrolyte beverage.

Divisions and Awards:

Divisions:

Men:
Novice, Sport and Expert Divisions: 17 and under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+.
Single Speed Divisions: Open (39-under) and Masters (40+over)
Clydesdale: one division (200lb+)
Junior: one division (14-under)

Women:
Expert Division: one division
Sport and Novice Divisions: 34 and under, 35+
Single Speed: one division
Junior: one division (14-under)

High School:
Novice, Sport and Expert divisions for boys and girls

Awards:

Custom race plaques will be awarded three deep in each age group and division as listed above.

Equipment:

Listening devices of any kind: MP3, IPod, headphones, etc…are not allowed on the run or bike course. Helmets must be worn and buckled on the bike at all times. Run numbers must be worn on the run and when crossing the finish line.

Competitor Goodies:

Included for each athlete is a Kickstart custom race hat, athlete goody bag, hot post race meal and free athlete massage.

Sports Expo:

The post race sports expo will have vendors such as Total Body Fitness, Fleet Feet Sports, and Kinetic Cycles.

Refund and Transfer Information:

TBF Racing has a no refund policy on all of our events. A refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the amount of the entry fee minus a $25 processing fee. Credits are not given during race week. Transfers are allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame. There is a $25 transfer fee. Transfers are not allowed during race week. ALL TBF Racing events are held rain or shine.

Volunteering:

Our Race for FREE Athlete Volunteer Program offers a chance to get involved with multi-sport events, have fun, and earn a $40 TBF Racing Volunteer voucher good towards entry fees at any of our events this year. Each volunteer shift is 4 hours. We ask volunteers to reserve a volunteer position at any of our events by emailing Teri@totalbodyfitness.com as our volunteer positions will fill up quickly.
